Hi... Jeff here...just started Insanity today...took my ego down a peg. I've used p90x fairly consistently over the past 2 years, and now i want to take it up a notch. Can i get a good strength building workout with Insanity only, or should i incorporate weight workouts from p90x? would love to chat and maybe workout with a local. thanks! jeff

    Hi Jeff,
Insanity is not much of a muscle-building program -- it's cardio and core intensive. (Some say otherwise, but I think if you've ever lifted free weights, you won't consider this a muscle-building program even though it uses bodyweight resistance training.) The deluxe package comes with an upper body weight training video you can add, though, and it's a good one.

Adding Power90X weights DVDs if you're doing the full Insanity as the rotation is written sounds undoable. Insanity on its own will deplete you. But I bet a P90X/Insanity rotation would be fantastic!
