Hi, Im Robby and I've been thinking about getting insanity for quite some time, I dont know why I put it off, mainly due to my hectic work schedule in the U.S. Navy. Anyways, just officially started and finished day 3, the soreness is rough but bearable and the workouts are crazy fun and crazy hard, im not following the nutrition exactly but my caloric intake is pretty low, 1500-2000 or so, and pretty healthy, I can't wait for tomorrow, also I do the workouts in my house on carpet in running shoes, what would happen if i did it barefoot? Thanks for the warm welcomes and support, and I hope I can stick with it.

Great job for getting started! The first week is very painful, but it will go away. Don't do this barefoot! It is pretty strenuous and high impact and your run the risk of injury.

Thanks Sean, I just finished Day 4, and it was crazy fun, I tried going barefoot for the warmup and it was for sure too painful for the "soft" landings on my toes, my nike's are much more comfortable, my soreness is gone right after i finish the workout and usually only comes back first thing in the morning in my calves and hamstrings, but its not terrible except for stairs. I've been eating clif bars for bonus calories and energy while at work and snacking on some jerky and pre-packed fruits. Its only been 4 days but I feel my muscles jumping out my skin, I cant wait for day 60

Congrats and keep with it. It's worth it. I'm going to start another round next month.

Thanks Joe, I forgot to ask about day 4 "Cardio Recovery" Are the stretches and one legged balance moves difficult at first for everyone, I started Insanity at 5'10 170, and I run pretty frequently, but the balance just wasnt happening, especially while concentrating on the core engaging, Some of that flexibility and stretch stuff was rough, any tips?

I have poor balance too. I just did the best that I could. Your balance and flexibility does get better though.

Good Deal, He kept saying "find your balance" so i thought i should be able to do em a little better. I also forgot to ask about pre-insanity supplements. I usually just take a clif energy bar around 30-45 mins prior and drink water durign and some protein recovery drink after the fact, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on NO products. i.e. Vapor, SuperPump, NOXplode. etc. I know they are typically used for traditional weight lifting but it seemed like they could be helpful here, any thoughts? Also Day 5's Pure Cardio was Wild! I really feel like I can do all 60 at this point, especially with you all keeping me accountable

Keep it up RobbyJoe! Sounds like you are "in it". If you can make it through the first week, you are well on your way.

Good deal, Doing the plyo circuit again was still crazy, but nice not to do any new exercises and have to try and learn the right form. Day 6 is done! and the first week was a complete success, I feel my abs and obliques and legs real deep and getting tighter, especially running around at work. Like I mentioned before I'm in the navy and my job is pretty physical too. Im looking forward to may day off, and I may even go take a run if my calves arent exploding. Thanks Sean, its nice to workout and get motivation everytime.

Nice to come back from a day off and feeling recovered and strong. Just finished day 1 of week 2, and I did awesome. Its good to have the first week behind and starting new on this one, Cardio power is my favorite one thus far and even though I can't quite get the form for globe jumps perfect, I felt like I was in the infomercial. In just a metter of 8 days of Insanity and the diet changes, I've lost 4 pounds, and I feel my obliques and legs growing tighter under that persistent layer of fat. I'm 5'10 175 and I'd like to be 165 when this is done, I think thats a reasonable goal. Thanks again for everyones support.
