Ok so I took the fit test and I just have one question. For the first exercise I think they are called switch kicks, how do you count them? Does each kick count as one or does one kick from each leg count as one?

    Thanks!!

There is some confusion about this as several INSANITY participants have requested this clarification. I count each kick as 1 unit, not the set as 1. As long as you set your own counting method, your progress can still be measured as long as your counting method remains constant from Fit Test to Fit Test. Welcome to INSANITY!

If you look at the Fit Test card that is included in your package, it says right under the picture of the switch kicks, "2 kicks = 1 rep"

Colette, you are correct...it does. I use the single count method as my Switch Kicks are 77 day 1, 78 day 15 & 108 day 36. That equates to 38.5/39 & 54 2 kick = 1 rep method.

Yes, it's true that it says 2 equals 1 rep on the calendar. However, you'll notice that even the participants in the fit test DVD use the 1 kick = 1 rep.

Sara.. I'm not observant .. I was wondering how Tanya got so many kicks in 1 minute. I was like that's impossible as I was using the 2kicks equal one method of tracking. Either way as AJ says you can track but I thought at least the people on the DVD followed the method described..

Well either way, the main reason for the test is to see how you improve. So if you use either method, as long as you keep counting in the same way, you're just fine ;)
