    Hi everyone,

I started Insanity program 24 days ago and finally decided to post something here! I practiced martial art for 8 years (2nd degree blackbelt) but I quit about 6 years ago which caused my weight 30+lbs weight gain. (Drank a lot of beers and ate whatever I wanted)
I was so scared to try this DVD because I was so out of shape and hadn't done any exercising for a long time!

First few time was so hard!!!! My face was bright red with ton of sweats after each workout (still the same). But as the day goes by, I started to fall in love with the workout more and more. I have lost 7 lbs so far and feel VERY GOOD. This is the only workout program that I felt joy while trying to reach my goal!

I'm curious how many lbs all women here lost by doing this program. I'm female and naturally muscular. My ultimate goal is to a ton of loose exess fat and not gain any more muscles.

BTW, I'm eating a bit over 200 cal per meal, 6x a day (around 1400 cal) Also, I completely stopped drinking beer!

Any advice or comments are welcome!! Looking forward to my days ahead :)

    Great job! Welcome :)

I have not lost much weight, but have lost inches so far. As far as your calories, you may want to up it a tad. Just my opinion (unless that is what the nutrition part told you, you needed).

    Keep going strong!!

Thanks, Colette! Do you find the month 2 workouts a lot harder than the month 1? What's Core Cardio & Balance like? Do you sweat? I haven't seen or tried it yet...a bit nervious about month 2 :(

    Welcome mm!
It sounds like you are getting into the groove with Insanity. Trust me, you will always feel exhausted during/after these workouts. As your fitness and form improves you can perform the exercises better and work harder.
These forums are great- I recommend searching through older posts since there is a lot of great info in here.
I am on day 50 and have lost about 13 lbs (it fluctuates).
The key for me in the beginning was making sure I ate ENOUGH calories & protein. As soon as I did that, the weight started to come off. I have to tell you that you WILL gain muscle with Insanity. It's not like weight-lifting, but you'll see that you gain a lot of lean muscle. I was trying on dresses this weekend and couldn't believe how toned my calves and shoulders are looking!
As far as feeling joy; I feel so amazing after most of my workouts. It's a mixture of exhaustion and accomplishment.
Keep us updated on your progress and any questions you have! :-)
