Not Losing Weigh

Hey guys I just started Week 6 and so far have only lost 2lbs. I started this program with an emphasis to tone my body not with a weigh loss goal in mind. But after checking out all your posts I feel like I should be losing more. Yes I know it's not a competition but am I missing something? I'm on track with the workouts and follow the nutrition plan pretty closely. I've had a few cheat days but nothing terrible. Any thoughts? I've been thinking about reducing my calories intake for the next week to see if I can boost my results.

One thing that has been shown over and over in this forum is that Insanity is not a weight-loss program when it comes to the scale. Very few people here have lost much weight, particularly if we didn't have much to lose to begin with. If you have a lot of weight to lose, you probably will lose some, but if you're one who "would like to lose five pounds," you likely won't with Insanity. You might lose five pounds of fat, but the scale won't show that because you'll probably put on 3-4 pounds of muscle, too. Pitch your scale and use a pair of your tight jeans as a better gauge!

Not missing nothing Nicole.. You can lose more weight if you'd like to cut your caloric intake. As Sara says if you have a lot of weight to lose you can melt the pounds away but those of us without much to lose will need to really drop the calorie intatke and that's very difficuly as you need to calories to keep up with the program.

Thanks guys. I really don't have much weight to lose and I know cutting calories would be very difficult. I'm starting to see more muscle tone and have lost a few inches so I'm happy about that. It was just confusing for awhile hearing about other peoples weight lose but I guess they just had more to lose than me.

I have a lot to lose, but have only lost 4 lbs so far. However, that may be because I struggle to get through the exercises. I'm pushing myself as much as I can without risking injury. I can see my body changing somewhat, but still have a huge gut. I won't be satisfied until I get rid of that.

I want to say thanks too-- I am realizing also, that it is not a weightloss program. Even so, I expected to see changes on the scale. I am learning to look for changes physically and with my clothes rather than the scale.

Never deprive anyone of hope- it might be all they have!

How can you not lose weight? I'm two stone over (34 lbs) and have noticeably lost weight and this is the end of day two! Changed shape too. Standing side on to the mirror I can defo see more definition in my thighs.

I'm on the weight loss from the plan in the recipe book - 500 cals under my normal necessary calorie intake - and am STARVING on it. By eating very regularly I manage to live with it, and have lost 2 lbs already and no, it's not fluids - I'm drinking 10 glasses a day to fend off the manic hunger pangs.

I do have a naturally fast metabolism but illness made me sedentary and now I'm basically saying nuts to the injuries and MS - *** off with all of it!
