JohnA, ...Sara......I hear you on those knees! Just iced my left knee for the last time today. The star jumps and the side push-ups killed me today. Glad to see that month 2 incorporates more upper body strength exercises than month 1. I have no problem with High Knees, Flamingo, Po-Go etc., it is the jumping, hence pounding impact. Once again I am fine during the INSANITY workouts...it is that late afternoon evening that stiffness creeps in. My surface area is carpet and a Manduka mat so I'm already on forgiving flooring. Sara, my core has become increasingly stronger each week and I am thrilled with my results. My lower back is stronger as well so overall, I think INSANITY will be worth my sweat and recovery discomfort. I will keep you posted.

I have some knee problems from years of doing gymnastics and I definitely notice some pain doing certain exercises (jumping jacks, high knees, etc.). I can remember my ortho telling me to exercise my knees anyway way back when, so I don't think I am doing them any MORE damage. I just ice afterwards. I am looking into getting some kind of knee support because I have a feeling that month 2 will be harder on them.

Lindsey....Yes, month two is more challenging. But, I'm finding that month 2 incorporates more upper body strength exercises and lower body is just as hard as month 1, but longer in duration. A brace may help you support your knees as it has helped me.

I played Hockey n Football in my high school days, and i messed up my ACL in my left knee and it was painfullll, the doctor said i didnt need surgery because only part of it torn...i went through therapy n now two year later its not hurting or sore but the doctor said to be "careful" do you think if i wore a knee brace or a knee support band i would be good?

    Thanks

I do it because I can. I can because I want to. I want to because you said I couldn't.
