Hi all, my name is Sara... I'm a vinyasa yoga teacher, Web site designer, and editor. I'm 33 and married with two boys. I was a gym rat in my early 20s and ruined my knees. Years of a six-day-per-week vigorous yoga practice fixed my knees and put me into the best shape of my life ... until now, that is.

I decided to take on Insanity after recovering from a major blood clot (deep-vein thrombosis) due to genetics. My reason is partially to enjoy being physically able again and see how far I can take it. After nearly dying of a pulmonary embolism, I felt even more like seizing life by the balls. I also wanted to test the effects of yoga-only on a person's fitness level and the effects of Insanity on my regular vinyasa practice when the 60 days is over.

I am in the middle of week 4 of Insanity and having a blast. My blog is at yogidoesinsanity.blogspot.com. Like Sean, I am mostly vegetarian and I love to cook, so I'm posting lots of recipes as well. Nice to meet you!

Hi Sara. I've seen you on Colettes page too. It's fun to find this whole Insanity community out there! You are just a bit ahead of me in the program but I saw your pictures (the core ones) and you are definitely seeing some changes! That's awesome. I just started a beginner yoga class this year and I've been going once a week. To be honest, I never understood the big deal of Yoga. I felt that I needed a workout to really sweat (see why I was attracted to Insanity?). But, the more I went the more I was seeing progress and would look forward to the classes. Good Luck with Insanity!
