I am deployed military, I simply LOVE the proram, my entire division is hooked on it..We did deeper together!
I ve been on the program for 17 days and I have noticed no results.Since Im deployed its tough to stick to the Nutrition plan, eating habits are the hardest. Could this be the reason I am not seeing results?

I thought I was the only one...@Tandt. My roommate and I are on the EXACT same day...#17...and I have yet to see any results. My manager at work tells me that she sees my stomach getting smaller, but I believe she is just telling me that to keep me motivated. Insanity is extremely hard, but I know that I want my body to be a certain way so I push myself to get through it. My eating habits have gotten better, but I'm still young (21), so of course I want my share of Taco Bell and a good ol' mountain dew every now and then. Could my small slip ups cause me not to see results?

my advice would be not to try to gauge your results so early on. it's tough to see any major changes in yourself as you see yourself every day, making changes hard to notice. i myself didn't really think i had made much progress (other than feeling tighter in certain areas) until i saw my day 1 pics compared to my current (day 30-ish) pics. so don't get too discouraged, because i guarantee you if you stick to it and really dig deeper, you're going to get (and see) amazing results!

I have been a little bit discouraged the last few days because I'm on week 4 and haven't lost any weight nor am I seeing any changes in my body. So many things I've read report weight loss and visible changes. I feel great and that's the primary reason I exercise, but I'm also trying to lose 5 lbs and tone.
I started this program already active and eating well. I've started to do 5-6 mini meals a day and avoid late night eating, which is my biggest downfall.
I'm open to suggestions for places to look in my habits and lifestyle....anyone???

I've had a lot of success with Insanity so I'll give you my two cents. When you say you're not following the eating program, that could mean LOTS of things. I think if your diet is reasonably good, you'll see results anyway, but there's a big range in "not following." I think you could work with occasional Taco Bell, but I'd get rid of the Mountain Dew, pronto, or at least switch to diet until you can wean yourself off it. Plus, the sodium level alone from eating fast food could be making you retain water weight and appear larger. But absolutely, you could completely sink yourself just by your diet. You'll still see your fitness level increase, but that may be it.
Re-evaluate your daily calories. The nutrition guide advocates doing this every single week. The starting numbers in the nutrition guide were too high for me, and luckily I knew that right away. (2100+ a day to lose weight when I'm only 5'2"?? No way.) And I feel your pain on the late-night eating, thing, too, Yogimomma. I struggle with that as well. I also wonder if some of you are weighing yourselves, because that won't give you a good idea. Take a pair of your tightest pants and use that as a gauge instead. The fit of your clothes doesn't lie. Third week is also a good time to take measurements if you haven't already. I've looked at a lot of final results photos and stats and have noticed that the men in particular barely lose scale weight but their body fat percentages go way down.
Final bit ... weight loss can often go like this -- hold steady with no progress, and sudden drop. I tend to notice changes after my rest day... that day is so critical. Stick with it and don't get discouraged. But also know that you are putting a hell of a lot of effort into this program and you don't want to waste it by eating junk. That's the part that's helped me the most. I don't want my daily misery to be for nothing!

i, too, was not really seeing too many results. i took pictures from my first day, and then took pictures 2 weeks later. i was really excpecting to see some results, but i look pretty much the same. but i feel stronger. i feel it in my core, my arms, my legs. i guess my belly looks a little smaller, but not terribly.
i follow the nutrition guide pretty closely, too. the only time i really eat "sweets" (which is my weakness) is on sundays, and even then, it's pretty limited.

I suppose results vary for each individual. But I am a firm believer that if you are actually doing the entire program, and eating properly there is no way you cannot get results. It may show less on certain people, but you will no doubt be stronger and in better shape.
Sara may chime in with more a scientific answer, but I do know muscle weighs more than fat and you may not lose weight to begin with, but it is being transferred to muscle. I personally am the same weight as when I started, but I look different. I would give it 30 days and post some day 1 vs. day 30 pictures and let us decide :-)

Good point, Sean! Yep, here's your scientific answer: Muscle is about 18% denser than fat. Muscle density is 1.06 g/ml and fat density is (about) 0.9
g/ml. So, one liter of muscle would weight 1.06 kg and one liter of fat would weigh 0.9 kg.For me, at day 26, I have lost only three pounds of scale weight but I've lost 2.5% body fat... for just under four weeks, that's great. I'm with Sean. Give it at least 30 days before you decide for sure that nothing's happening.

If you're not seeing results from this, you realy need to start writing down every little thing you eat AND drink (even those bites of something you may be having). Chances are you are eating to many calories and not realizing it. Also, make sure you're eating the right kinds of foods...no fast foods, processed foods, high fat foods. I would bet you'll be shocked at what you find out.
Also, take measurements. The scale does not tell the story...measurements and how your clothes fit do :)
