More yak and fit test results on my blog: yogidoesinsanity.blogspot.com. I made an overall improvement of 42.25% over day 1, and 14.8% over my last fit test.

    Insanity Before and After pictures

I should note that I'm a bit surprised by my final photos. My measurements have stayed about the same since Day 30 and my scale weight has actually gone up a little -- about 2 pounds. That puts me only a pound under where I started. I assumed I'd sabotaged myself, diet-wise, and that I looked better on day 30, but it looks like I put on a lot more muscle. I thought my measurements would have gone down with that even if the scale went up, though. There is a lighting difference, but I don't think that's all it is... but I don't know. It's a mystery. I'm curious what you guys think happened. I did expect to be much "lighter" after Insanity, but I am happy with the results and am certainly thrilled and surprised at the gains on the fit test!

Check out those arms!!! Sara, you have put on lots of muscle all the was around, and you are tiny to begin with. Our bodies will shrink only so much, but with the muscle that you put on, I'm not surprised the scale didn't budge, or the measurements didn't change. You have switched fat with muscle. Great job and congrats on finishing!!

Thanks. That makes sense. I *did* fail with the diet in month 2, though. I'm sure working out to such an extreme level kept me from gaining weight, but I do wish I'd been better able to follow the program exactly. I managed to stay within my calorie limits most of the time, but my choices were often less than ideal.

I did well in month 1 both with shorter workouts and higher motivation, but the fatigue, increased intensity, and waning enthusiasm in month 2 contributed to a totally out-of-control appetite. It was a constant struggle I will not miss. I didn't do well with the five meals a day (it felt very unnatural) and I'm looking forward to returning to my regular eating habits (minus all the Christmas crap that produced the Day 1 photo above) of three meals a day and maybe one snack, eating just when I'm hungry. If I ever do this again, I'll be more prepared for this!

AJ -- I was just at the store and eyeballing the pizza and decided "no way." So your post made me laugh.

Sara, I was on a much needed vacation when you finished (I was practically homebound while doing this program.)
Isn't it great to be finished. I think you look great; alot more muscle for sure. And you can't see the improvement in cardiovascular fitness but your fit test tells that story. Amazing what 63 days can do.
I am wondering now that it has been about a week, I bet you look even better than when you finished- after a few rest days if you took any. Anyway, congrats on finishing this program.

Haha, "if you took any." It was involuntary; I crashed so hard for a few days I'm sure I was pretty unpleasant to be around. I had a lot of overtraining signs, too: elevated heart rate in the morning, fatigue, soreness that wouldn't go away, etc. I napped every single day. How about you, SRG, how did you do after you finished?
