Today is my 5th day of Insanity. I am actually pretty obsessed with this whole program and learning more about it. I have really enjoyed this blog and forum! Ok, I have a question: I am going on a cruise with my family during Recovery Week. This has been planned for a while and it just so happened to work out that when I started Insanity I would be gone during Recovery Week. I plan on watching the Recovery Workouts before I go and I plan on going to the gym everyday and working out while I'm gone. I also realize that my nutrition program will not be followed exactly. How is this going to affect my end results?

Vacation During Recovery Week???

May be a little tough trying not to consume alcohol daily on a cruise not to mention the food. I would workout daily in the on-board fitness club, on the elliptical or treadmill to keep you "conditioned" the week you are away so it is not a total loss, burning at least 400-600 calories a day. Take your heart rate monitor on your cruise to accurately measure cals burned. This way you will still fell accomplished while on the cruise. Then, when you return home, pickup INSANITY where you left off. This is what I would do. Don't forget the cruise was meant for your enjoyment and vacation. Bon Voyage!

AJ- Thanks for your reply and advice! I plan on enjoying myself because it is vacation, but I do want to workout. I would hate to totally back-track and lose what I will have gained. I am actually a runner, so I look forward to running during that week. I haven't been running this week since I have started INSANITY and I have missed it.

Ditto what AJ said.
Even if you do eat more than you plan (who doesn't on a cruise ship!) you will feel good knowing you worked out each day.Posted 2 years ago # -
I will be going on vacation the day after my recovery week. I plan on doing some workouts while gone, but I don't think it will hurt to much. The first part of month two is hard already, so I'll just have to dig deep and get back to it :)
