Help!! I've been doing insanity for a week and I love it!! Except for 1 thing...I am trying to loose weight and tone up and I am sooo hungry all the time.. any suggestions? Insated of eating "Snacks" in between my regular meals, should I just stick with fruits and veggies???

Hey there Jaws,
Make sure you are eating enough calories every day. Use that Harris-Benedict formula in the nutrition guide to give you an estimate and adjust from there. I am eating more calories than I did before starting Insanity but I have still lost 9 lbs so far (I just finished the 3rd week). Eating small meals every 3-4 hours helps keep your metabolism going strong and can keep you from feeling too hungry.
Eat fruits and veggies, but also make sure you are getting enough protein too.Posted 2 years ago # -
The hunger part sucks but to some degree you have to adjust to it, too. If you were eating way more than you needed before, your body will have to get used to less -- our stomachs expand and shrink according to how much we typically eat, so it may take time for that to happen. That said, is it hunger or appetite? Both are hard to control, of course. I have not been controlling the latter very well over the last couple of days.
I'm with Sunnyday (by the way, fabulous job on nine pounds in just three weeks!!!). Stick with the guide, and evaluate your progress each week to determine whether you're eating enough or too much.

I have had to adjust my goal from weight loss to better body compostition (less fat,more muscle) and better fitness. I have only lost a few pounds despite eating healthy but have really firmed up all over. (I am at day 53) I am finding the diet part easy because there is no way I can get thru the workouts on junk. Great job to the ones that have lost alot of weight. I'm sure my weight loss will come if I keep pushing. Good luck!
