No where can I find out how long each workout is.
Hi Erica, the workouts vary in length from the first month to the second month. During the first month, the workouts are between 30-40 minutes long. In the second month they are about 45-60 minutes long. I hope this answers your question.
Hey, I am 54, have worked out with a trainer for a year, 3 times a week, but not real hard stuff. I am 40 pounds overweight. My husband died a few months ago and I have not worked out at all since. I want to be strong and get in good shape and of course lose weight. I need to do this to be healthy for my children and feel good about myself. Can I do this 60 day Insanity workout or do you think it is too much, too fast? I need help to get in shape, but I really am not up to a gym and lots of people. This is so frustrating to know what to do. I feel paralyzed. What do you recommend?
Hi Susan, first off I am so sorry to hear about your husband. As for if Insanity is right for you, that is hard for me to tell you. I think it would be best to ask your trainer. It is definitely a very hard workout. It is great to be able to work out at home as I too don’t like going to gyms, etc. Also, you can come over and post in the forum and get other opinions as well.
Good luck in whatever you decide and please let us know how it turns out!
I would like to know what type of protein powder Shawn T takes? What type of whey protein? What is rhe results and recovery formula?
To be honest, I don’t know what kind of protein he uses. I also don’t use the results and recovery formula as I personally don’t feel like I need it. Here is the protein powder I use.
Hi,
I had my 2nd child a year ago and suffer from excruciating back pain due to numerous factors…2 epidurals/c-sections, arthritis and of couse the excess weight. I would love to loose 40-50 lbs but not sure if I should attempt this. I am desperate sooooo, what are your recommendations?
Sue, I am not sure if this workout is right for you. If you have back pain like you describe, you will not be able to do these exercises. You have to build up some sort of base and strength first. I am not a doctor or anything, but don’t put yourself in harms way for worse injuries.
I use to do Taebo Advanced back to back for 2 hours. I needed something more challenging. I should have watched out what I wished for. I am in week 2 and Cardio Abs is literally INSANE. I have never in my life had a work out like I am having now. This is the best program out there. My son is in the military and he trains hard. He started the program and agrees it is INSANE. My husband and other son in high school are doing the program as well. WE LOVE IT. Due to our schedule is it “ok” to skip two days due to military police job, or should he start over? Shawn T. You are amazing.
Just purchased Insanity this morning for my 29th bday. Used to be active duty Army and was 205lbs, now Im about 265 and trying to drop weight to get back in to the Army. What should I expect?
You should expect a workout that will kick your butt! If you stick to it, in 60 days you will be in incredible shape. Good luck!
Iam currently 185 and looking to drop 35 to 45 pounds. I used to play sports in high school and have just gotten lazy over the past two years. I was wondering if the Insanity workout will be too much for me. I do relize that I probably will not be able to complete the entire workout at first. But I am thinking that if I do as much as I can that it will be a start and that I can work up to completeing the entire thing. Any advice would be a great help. I just wanted to say that i think that it is great that you guys give honest advice and do not push the product. I want to get healthy again and live that way thank you
Seeing as how you have an athletic background, I think you will be just fine. The key is to just stick to the program. You will be able to finish, just at varying degrees with everyone else. No one can actually do every workout from start to finish that I know of (even the people in the videos). Make that choice and go for it!
Hi, my name is hugh and im about 45 pounds overweight and im 20 years old. Im a very determined man but I cant afford a gym and ive tried running and lifting and nothing happens. I want a workout program that will give me fast results. I have no health problems what so ever other than excess weight. I just want somebody to tell me based on my information if I can handle the Insanity program.
My best advice would be to head over to the forums and read through some posts and ask your questions. We have some incredibly smart members there that can help you with your decision: http://www.crazyworkoutblog.com/forum
hey, im 33 i used to do a little of my own workout but since i had my son i have been very busy to take the time to do any workouts and my son is 6 now. I really want to make a change in my life and i know once i set my goal i will go after it. Im really small in size, 105lbs. Can i give this amazing workout a shot or maybe its to much for me, if not can u recomment something to start of with. Thank you
If you really want to get in the best shape of your life and you don’t have any medical issues, that do INSANITY! I can’t answer if it is too much for you or not. In fact, it is overwhelming in the beginning for everyone that does this, even the athletes on the DVD’s. It is a definite commitment, but one you will not regret.
Be sure to order from the Official Insanity DVD Page
I love insanity this is really awesome, you can stop, I really motivated with this program and I can notice , my body hurt but this is good it means that insanity is transforming my body.. yessss,
Hi, I hv review the Insanity workout and i think is a quite effective workout but i not sure about it. My body is skinny and weight 57kg so consider underweight and gt some belly fat around my stomach? Btw I am also a runner. So my goal is to get 6 pack body. So is this workout will be suitable to me. Thx
Well, you sound just like me! I am skinny and it helped me for sure. I am also a runner. Check out my before and after pictures to see my results.
but in the same time is the insanity workout can help me build muscle mass since i am skinny?
After 60 days, what’s next?? can I repeat?? it’s healthy?
Of course! You can do it over as many people do and yes it is extremely healthy! Please read through the blog to learn more.
I am going out of town for a couple of days, so i will skip day 39 and 40. when i come back, do i just start at 39 again? or should i start month two all over since i’m only 3 days into it?
I don’t think it matters either way, just that you are doing it. Personally, i would probably pick up where I left off and keep going, perhaps making up a day on a rest day. But whatever you choose is ok as long as you are committed to finishing!
Hey, I’m 22 years old had 2 previous ACL surgiers. I have always been active but I aparently have a littel bit of atritis going on known as DJD. I love being push to the limit but I’m scaed that I’ll injury my knee again 2 times is good enough for me. I’m clear to do what I want now. But for the people that have done this, would it be something that I could do? I really want to try try but I don’t want to damage my body more than it has been damaged. I play basketball adn football so it gets pretty beaten up.
This workout is definitely strenuous on the knees, there is no doubt about it. My knees were sore for a few weeks after finishing, but they weren’t seriously injured. This program will push your limits for sure, but you have to be conscious of your form throughout.
