Day 16 – Plyometrics Cardio Circuit Insanity
Today was the first real day of the third week of Insanity as yesterday was the fit test. I was a bit relieved actually when I found out that today’s workout was the Plyometric Cardio Circuit. This is because all day I had it in my head that I would be doing tomorrows workout (which is both Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs).
The workout went pretty well today. I still can’t grasp mentally that I would ever be able to do an entire workout without stopping. Just when I feel strong, Shaun T breaks me down even more! There really is no such thing as an easy workout in this program. Now knowing that I can get through the warmup and stretches pretty comfortably (in relative INSANITY terms!) my next mini goal is to be able to complete the first circuit start to finish of a workout. By a circuit I mean the 3 reps of whatever exercise is part of the days program. Today I could see that at least this is possible on the Plyometrics workout. It just gets real hard when you have to do back to back exercises that work one area of the body. For example, doing power jacks and following it with mountain climbers (and still holding form).
I also had my 2 kids wanting to exercise with me which added a bit to the challenge today! They were more interested in fighting over floor space than anything else
However, sometimes the distraction of them can help me forget about the pain I am in!
Now off to watch the premiere of LOST!!!!
