Robert, don't be embarrassed, I'll bet there are many people that feel the same way. I was nauseous in the beginning too, although I didn't quite go that far :-) Do you have a heart rate monitor? If not, you should get one to stay in your limits. Mentally prep yourself and get ready to try again!

Glad he's doing well, and yes it is amazing how kids handle that kind of stuff.

Have a good day

Argh, I'm glad he's OK. We've been to the ER at least 10 times with my older boy, he's such a daredevil. Good thing kids are so resilient. I hope he heals quickly. (PS -- Did you get the e-mail I sent you? I couldn't tell if it went through.)

I will post more and I am really embarrassed that I stopped but, I have lost about 12 pounds without exercise since January 1 and I will start again Monday and go from start to finish.
I actually pushed myself so hard on the plyometric cardio that I threw up... I used to be in really great shape and thought that I could do the same things that I could do when I was 23 now that I am 33...WRONG!!! Luckily I have the program, and your blog. I wake up every day looking forward to reading about your experiences...
Unfortunately you will be done before I am through.

Hi Colette, no I didn't finish the workout, but there was only 2 minutes of stretching left so I consider it done. The little man is doing well, it's amazing how much better kids handle things than adults sometimes!

Man that sounds traumatic too! It always hurts to see a child injure themselves like that. As for Insanity, I hope you do get back into it. For me, the first 2 days felt like I was hit by a truck, but then it tapered off and I have not had any pain since. It is quite a shock to your body if you aren't doing much exercise to jump into this. Isn't that the motto though "the hardest exercise program ever put on dvd"? Anyways, good luck on your second try and post some updates once in a while!

We had a similar situation a few weeks ago....our youngest (2) climbed onto our oldest boys (10) bunk bed and fell off onto the window sill. We thought that he broke his cheek bone because his whole face turned purple and his eyes were swollen shut. Luckily the ER trip revealed no broken bones, just a bunch of bruised tissue...
Good luck with your two, I know my three keep me busy!
Oh and BTW I started insanity this week and only lasted 3 days. I will start over again next week, I just got so sore I couldn't move any more. I was in the military but, have been out for over 10 years. So my shape is more round than anything. 5'8" and 200 pounds...Everyone thinks I weigh 175 though....I have big arms and a big neck from my weight lifting days...
Good luck and I look forward to reading more and seeing the final photos!

Your poor little guy. I remember when my son was about three, he was jumping on the bed and fell onto the metal frame and had to get stitches in his bottom!

Were you able to finish most of the workout? This just shows that life will get in the way and we just have to work with it. I'm glad your son is doing well, and I'm sure he'll be the talk of the school today with those cool staples in his head ;)
