Day 5 – Pure Cardio
All I can really say about this workout is to quote Shaun T himself when he says:
“This shit is bananas, yo!”
This workout really tests your limits! First, let me back up to the beginning. This workout starts out the same with a warmup. But as mentioned before this is no ordinary warmup, it is 9 minutes of increasing speed cardio. I mention this because I am proud to say that for the first time since I have started I was able to complete the entire warmup without stopping! If you’re doing Insanity, you know that this is an accomplishment.
Then during the warm up is when I started to get scared. It’s not a good sign when the buff trainer Shaun T announced to us the HE is nervous about the workout we are about to partake in! After the warm up we went into intense stretches and holds as usual and then we hit full on . . .
From there is 15 minutes straight of pure cardio intensity. No water breaks, just 100% max intensity exercise for 15 minutes. 15 different exercises performed for 1 minutes each. Sounds like a piece of cake? HELL NO! Many of the people in video were falling to the ground or ordered to take breaks during this workout. Shaun T was huffing and puffing himself. This was definitely one of the hardest workouts yet.
I had to take many breaks myself of course, but I pushed through it the best I could. I actually felt pretty good when it was all over. I am not sure if that is good (that I am getting stronger) or bad (that I didn’t push myself hard enough). Either way I am proud of myself!

Holy God is this for real, i loved it, it was brutal but also what i wanted, i feel good because besides some of the breaks i had to do 80% of everything i was able to accomplish, now i feel much better about myself, i was surprised many of those on videos was dying out because they all fit and got 6 packs and the whole 9 yards! but that shows anyone who committed can accomplish their goal…OK Stay safe and God bless!
