Day 6 – Second Round of The Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Today was the first time I have replicated an exercise video. This workout is called the Plyometric Cardio Circuit. It really was the first workout I did since Day 1 was the Fit Test.
For some reason I thought I would do quite well today since I had already done it once and have been building confidence as the week has gone on. I suppose on one hand I did do well: I completed the warm up without stopping again for the second day in a row. It is nice to know that I can get through it now, even though I did get the heart rate up to 161 just during this warm up.
After that, it was really tough for me. The strength was waning on each repetition, but I just tried to Dig Deeper as best I could. I personally think the difficulties today were due to two factors: 1) This is the 6th day in a row of intense exercises, and 2) I did this workout in the morning instead of the afternoon as I usually do.
But I got through it pushing myself to my limit and was able to function the rest of the day. The best part of this workout though was knowing that tomorrow is my FIRST REST DAY! Woo hoo! Looking foward to taking a day to recover and gear up for Week 2 of Insanity. Week 1 of 9 is in the books

My girlfriend and I are doing these too, and just finished day 6, which is the Plyometric/ Cardio round again. We did the Pure Cardio last night and the Plyometrics this morning… and that was WAYYY too short between workouts! Really tough but really rewarding, especially knowing we have all day tomorrow off to recover.
We are totally digging it though, and I swear we can already see/ feel the difference in our bodies. And I am not just talking about the constant burning sensation in our calf muscles…
Excellent! Keep up the great work, it is nice to have someone to share in the experience (i.e. pain).
oooh Boy! I’m so glad my body is getting used to this because like you said you made through warm up so did I, but than it came the problems, what killed me was the push up and run, that was my low point, i’m glad i’m getting used to it but OMG Insanity knows how to make us Work hard…now off to a relaxing weekend..God bless!
