Day 6 – Second Round of The Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Today was the first time I have replicated an exercise video. This workout is called the Plyometric Cardio Circuit. It really was the first workout I did since Day 1 was the Fit Test.
For some reason I thought I would do quite well today since I had already done it once and have been building confidence as the week has gone on. I suppose on one hand I did do well: I completed the warm up without stopping again for the second day in a row. It is nice to know that I can get through it now, even though I did get the heart rate up to 161 just during this warm up.
After that, it was really tough for me. The strength was waning on each repetition, but I just tried to Dig Deeper as best I could. I personally think the difficulties today were due to two factors: 1) This is the 6th day in a row of intense exercises, and 2) I did this workout in the morning instead of the afternoon as I usually do.
But I got through it pushing myself to my limit and was able to function the rest of the day. The best part of this workout though was knowing that tomorrow is my FIRST REST DAY! Woo hoo! Looking foward to taking a day to recover and gear up for Week 2 of Insanity. Week 1 of 9 is in the books

My girlfriend and I are doing these too, and just finished day 6, which is the Plyometric/ Cardio round again. We did the Pure Cardio last night and the Plyometrics this morning… and that was WAYYY too short between workouts! Really tough but really rewarding, especially knowing we have all day tomorrow off to recover.
We are totally digging it though, and I swear we can already see/ feel the difference in our bodies. And I am not just talking about the constant burning sensation in our calf muscles…
Excellent! Keep up the great work, it is nice to have someone to share in the experience (i.e. pain).
oooh Boy! I’m so glad my body is getting used to this because like you said you made through warm up so did I, but than it came the problems, what killed me was the push up and run, that was my low point, i’m glad i’m getting used to it but OMG Insanity knows how to make us Work hard…now off to a relaxing weekend..God bless!
I also just comopleted day 6 and i can see and feel results too..each day im looking forward to more
Today I finished the 6 Day work out. Wow it was still intense, I felt it in my legs and specially my calfs. I did notice i am able to do more of the work outs and stop less often. The work out were you do side to side for your abs kill me, and the other where you do push ups then you jump forward reach up and then g back down is a real test for endurance. I love this work out and so far I’ve been taking them one day at a time. I am looking forward to results, and can’t wait to work out. This is coming from someone who hates dvd work outs because they get boring after a while but not with Shaun T!
I completed day 6. Week one is done. These past few days have been tough, but I just keep doing my best. I noticed I did alot better today than the first time I did this workout. I still took my breaks when needed, but I always try to jump back in. My legs feel so strong. I promise I have sweated out of every gland on my body. Ready for week 2 ! Come on ya’ll..lets gooooo !
Boy was that hard today! I started the workout feeling quite smug thinking that I’ll do reasonably well but I soon regretted thinking that way… I was puffing and huffing after the ‘warm-up’ which indeed feels like a full workout in its own right. When we got to the push-ups, my thighs were on fire and my biceps were crying out. After the third repetition of the 2nd circuit, I was ready to finish, but Shaun T had us doing a few extra exercises just so that we finish in style aka full of sweat. I’m really looking forward to the rest day! It’s time to get the gear wasted and ready for Week 2
