Amazing how similar your experiences have been as mine. Today I hit a wall for the 1st time as well and was not looking forward to the workout. Then I got through the warm-up and was excited to persevere. Felt like I was a little less motivated than other days though and needed to push myself a bit harder today. Tomorrow I will be back on it 100% I hope.

This is great information, thanks Matt. I will probably go into the P90X as I would like to build some muscle. I tried this because I had set a goal this year to "get in the best shape of my life". So far, I can say this is a true total body workout. I am glad these posts are helping you and look forward to hearing your progress too! Ok, off to post about yesterday . ..

p90x was really great. I highly recomend it. Tony Horton is a great trainer- and he gets you through each workout- it is fun. It is tough as would be expected- but great. You become a walking billboard for the product after about 45 days- it really changes your body. Just finished my insanity workout- it is very different- the 125% cario will take some getting use to. It is so fast that you don't get the kind of instruction you get from p90x. But is what i am lookng for. I think i am more of a voyer then blogger! But perhaps after completing insanity- i might set up something- whatever comes next. I think probably another round of p90x in the summer- or if Tony has a new workout series- i may try that. Posts like yours really help the mental part of the workout- it is important to know real people are taking it on and getting through it and talking about the benifits.

Hey Matt, congratulations on the P90X! I am thinking of doing that next as I really want to build more muscle. How was it? And yes, I survived the 2 workouts! I will post about it soon. It wasn't as bad as I imagined as the second one (Cardio Abs) was only about 16 minutes long. Of course it was still hard though. Good luck, you will do fine. Let me know if you set up a blog (or want help setting one up).

Damn- you just ruined my day. I am 44, finished p90X on Thanksgiving. Needed something new so just got insanity. Today was the fit test- and it was hard. I previewed day 2 workout and am nervous- p90x was great- but cardio was every other day and not nearly as intense or i guess "insane". Just saw your post and didn't realize by day 13 you do multiple workouts. The part that i liked about this was although intense- the workout time is about 1/2 as much as p90. There goes that benifit. Good luck! I will follow your progress. If the posts stop- i will know that the two workouts likely killed you.
